The Elder Aaron Johnson Learning Resource Center
The Learning Resource Center at Northside Christian Church is named in honor and memory of Elder Aaron Johnson, who served for nearly 40 years as the pastor of the Church. The Center, which is housed at 158 Cottrell Street, is designed to facilitate and supplement academic achievement and socialization through tutoring and mentoring. The Center has wireless internet capabilities, a growing library, numerous computers and energetic, enthusiastic volunteers. It has benefitted from the support of the Johnson Family, the Superintendent of West Point School District, Community Leaders and, of course, members of Northside Christian Church. The Center serves as a resource for people of all ages and has the capability to provide everything from literacy training to homework assistance, including computer based research and assistance.
